New born darlings don’t need a huge closet of branded clothes but there are some main things that you need to have when they join in the family. Here are some essentials,
Buy some side snap outfits till the umbilical code separates, later dress you baby in one piece clothing that are easy to put on and take off without any fuss. Have a couple of them bought since you, little toddler might use around two to three per day and some socks as well, to keep those tiny feet warm.
Buy a couple of sleepers as well, so that your baby can be cozy covered from neck to toe with snaps or zips around the legs to changer diaper when needed. As perfect as they are to be worn at night they are a pretty good travelling outfit as well. Babies grow fast so you might not need a lot of these.
Sweaters and caps
If your new born is arriving in winter or is living in a cold climate you’ll want some sweaters and caps for your baby to be kept warm. The little caps are needed to control your baby’s body temperature as the heat is released out from the top of her head. If you winters are very cold, buy a baby snowsuit, if not have your baby wrapped around think blankets.
Always have two packs of diapers with you or enough diapers for two days at all time and if you using disposable look for sales or coupons since babies go through it several times a day. Try shopping such baby product online, you may find offers and always use natural diaper cream when you are using, keep away from petroleum products.
Baby bath tub
You will be bathing you newborn daily so it is necessary to have a small plastic bathtub, for the baby to be put in and give a bath. Make sure you hold onto your baby while you are bathing him/her especially when you are applying soap/shampoo on them.
Crib and mattress
You’ll need a new crib for your first baby. So next time you go baby products shopping, make sure you buy a crib and a mattress and also have it checked on all consumer safety required. Buy some quilted mattress pads to save your mattress from being completely ruined by the first month itself and also have if the pads are not lined make sure you purchase two waterproof liners as well.
Later, once the baby is ready to be taken outside and can move a bit here and there, you’ll be needing diaper bags, strollers, carriers and infant car seats to have a good day out. Good luck parenting!
